چکیده

Transport infrastructure development and perception vary across within countries, influencing mode choice among road users. This study explores how users perceive the of modes, service attributes, embedded safety levels, commuting modes. Additionally, research examines whether participants’ environmental backgrounds impact their patterns. The gathered responses from 1169 participants residing in two regions Amman, Jordan, each with distinct population densities. Participants completed a standardized questionnaire, several statistical techniques were employed for analysis. findings revealed that facilities’ development, assessed using three indices. Both participant groups perceived these indices differently on average. Residents low density areas relatively developed showed more consistent assessments, irrespective most frequently used transportation, tending towards lower scores. Interestingly, subjective ratings higher (4.96) than attribute-based (4.32). Despite generally low-quality perception, public transportation services received highest appraisal (4.9). Conversely, pedestrian complementing transport lowest assessment (4.57), only slightly street environments (4.59). found weak associations between characteristics ratings. Traveler trip influenced trips perception. In conclusion, suggests policies should be to encourage green ensure social equality safety. addition, contributes understanding perceptions about infrastructure, modes factors influence sustainable equitable systems.

Adaptive Zoning for Transport Mode Choice Modeling

Adaptive zoning is a recently introduced method for improving computer modeling of spatial interactions and movements in the transport network. Unlike traditional zoning, where geographic locations are defined by one single universal plan of discrete land parcels or ‘zones’ for the study area, adaptive zoning establishes a compendium of different zone plans, each of which is applicable to one j...
